Seville

Seville is a vibrant city brimming with history, culture, and breath-taking architecture. The city perfectly blends the old with the new, making it a wonderful destination to soak up history, culture, and vibrant Spanish life! 

Alcázar of Seville is a stunning Moorish palace complex with lush gardens and intricate tilework. It’s one of the oldest palaces still in use in Europe, and its architecture is a masterpiece of Islamic and Christian influences.

Seville Cathedral is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, home to the tomb of Christopher Columbus. The Giralda Tower, originally a minaret, offers panoramic views of the city. The cathedral is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Plaza de España, built for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, this semi-circular plaza is one of Seville's most iconic landmarks. The surrounding canal and bridges add to the grandiose beauty, and the buildings showcase impressive Renaissance Revival architecture. Torre del Oro is a historic tower on the Guadalquivir River, once part of Seville's defensive walls. It offers exhibitions about Seville’s maritime history and great views of the river and city.

Barrio Santa Cruz is the charming Jewish quarter of Seville, filled with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed buildings, and orange trees. It’s perfect for leisurely strolls, tapas, and discovering local artisan shops. Seville is the birthplace of Flamenco, and you can catch a live performance at venues like La Carbonería or El Patio Sevillano.

Lisbon 

Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, is a city full of history, charm, and culture. The city has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Walking through its streets, you’ll discover a blend of traditional charm and modern energy. See the Belém Tower, an iconic fortress located by the Tagus River, built to defend the city in the 16th century. Jerónimos Monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage site, this stunning monastery is an example of Manueline architecture and is linked to Portugal’s Age of Exploration.

Pastéis de Belém, don’t miss the famous custard tarts from the bakery here, a true Lisbon delicacy! Tram 28, hop on this iconic yellow tram to explore Lisbon’s historic neighbourhoods, from Graça to Alfama, Baixa, and Estrela. It’s a scenic way to discover the city.

São Jorge Castle offers panoramic views of the city, this medieval castle dates back to Moorish times. Explore the Alfama District which is a maze of narrow streets, colourful houses, and traditional Fado music venues. Sé Cathedral is Lisbon’s oldest church, with impressive architecture dating from the 12th century.

Praça do Comércio is a  grand square by the river, once the site of royal palaces, now home to cafes and restaurants. Explore Chiado, a bohemian neighbourhood filled with theatres, bookstores, and cafes. Don’t miss a visit to the famous Café A Brasileira. Bairro Alto is the nightlife hub of Lisbon, filled with bars, clubs, and live music venues. Fado performances, traditional Portuguese music are a must-see here. Cais do Sodré is a lively riverside area with trendy bars and a cool vibe.

Porto 

Porto is a beautiful city in northern Portugal known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and world-famous port wine. Ribeira is the historic heart of Porto and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander the cobblestone streets, explore the colourful buildings, and enjoy the stunning views of the Douro River. Ribeira Square is the perfect place to relax with a drink or meal while enjoying the river views.

One of the most beautiful bookstores in the world, Livraria Lello features a stunning neo-Gothic interior with a winding staircase and intricate woodwork. The Porto Cathedral is one of the city’s oldest and most significant landmarks. The Romanesque architecture and its beautiful cloister are a sight to behold. The Palácio da Bolsa is an impressive 19th-century building featuring ornate rooms, including the famous Arab Room. The Church of São Francisco is a stunning Gothic church known for its lavish baroque interior, with intricate golden woodwork and beautiful sculptures

Ponte Dom Luís I is Porto’s most famous bridge, offering amazing views of the city and the river. You can walk across the top or bottom levels. Ponte de São João and Ponte da Arrábida are other impressive bridges that also provide scenic views.

Take a boat tour along the Douro River to see Porto from the water, passing under its iconic bridges and admiring the colourful riverside buildings. On the other side of the river, in Vila Nova de Gaia, you’ll find famous Port wine cellars like Sandeman, Graham’s, and Taylor’s. Book a wine-tasting tour and learn about the production of Porto’s famous wine.

Tangier

Tangier is a vibrant city located on the northern coast of Morocco, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Tangier is a city of contrasts, where modern influences meet ancient history, offering something for everyone. 

Medina of Tangier, the old walled city of Tangier is a maze of narrow, winding streets filled with traditional shops, markets, and cafes. You can explore the history of Tangier, from the Phoenician period to the colonial era, while enjoying the local architecture and culture. 

The Kasbah is an ancient fortress offering stunning views of the city, the coastline, and the Mediterranean Sea. It’s home to the Kasbah Museum, which displays artefacts from Morocco’s history, including Islamic art and Roman-era exhibits. You can also stroll through the Kasbah Gardens, which are peaceful and perfect for a break.

Tangier's beach is one of the city's main attractions, where you can relax by the sea, enjoy watersports like jet skiing, or take a boat ride along the coast. The beach is lined with cafes and restaurants offering fresh seafood.

American Legation Museum is a symbol of the historical relationship between Morocco and the United States, this museum was the first American public property abroad. It exhibits art, historical documents, and other items related to Moroccan-American relations, particularly the early 19th century.

Tangier has a thriving art scene. The Museum of Contemporary Art and Dar el-Makhzen are worth a visit to experience Moroccan and international art. The city's rich cultural history also includes influences from Spanish, French, and Arabic traditions.

Barcelona

Barcelona is a beautiful city filled with a rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture. Things you must see include La Sagrada Família, this iconic basilica by Antoni Gaudí is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Parc Güell is another Gaudí masterpiece, this park is a whimsical combination of art, architecture, and nature. 

Barri Gòtic, explore the narrow, winding streets of the Gothic Quarter, with its medieval buildings, hidden squares. La Rambla is the famous pedestrian street runs the runs from Plaça de Catalunya to the waterfront. It’s lined with shops, restaurants, and attractions like the Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, a vibrant food market.

Two more of Gaudí's stunning works are on the Passeig de Gràcia. Casa Batlló is famous for its colourful and organic design, while Casa Milà is known for its undulating stone façade and rooftop with surreal sculptures.

Park de la Ciutadella is a green oasis with a beautiful lake, fountains, and the Catalan Parliament building. It's also home to the Barcelona Zoo and several museums. Take a cable car ride to Montjuïc for panoramic views of Barcelona. Here, you'll find attractions like the Montjuïc Castle, the Olympic Stadium, and the Magic Fountain.

Catalonia Square is surrounded by beautiful fountains, statues, and shopping areas. From here, you can easily access La Rambla, Passeig de Gràcia, and other parts of the city.

Introducing The Celebrity Equinox 

The Celebrity Equinox is a luxurious cruise ship in the Celebrity Cruises fleet. It first entered service in 2009 and is one of the Solstice-class ships, known for its elegant design, upscale amenities, and exceptional service. The Equinox carries just over 2800 passengers. The ship underwent an extensive refurbishment in May 2019.

Food & Drink

The Silhouette Restaurant is the magnificent main dining room of Celebrity Equinox. With a two-story glass wine tower and dazzling chandeliers, this quintessential dining area has a decidedly Hollywood aura. 

The Spa Café features an eclectic blend of offerings that are both flavourful and good for you. The Mast Grill and Bar is the perfect place to grab a quick bite, like burgers and other specialties grilled to order, while relaxing out on the Pool Deck. The Oceanview Café has décor that reflects that of an international marketplace. The cuisine takes diners on a voyage around the world. Stations available in the marketplace include: made-to-order pasta, stir-fry, pizza and sushi, a full salad bar, and a variety of appetizer entrées and desserts. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night.

There is a great choice of specialty restaurants on the Equinox, these include Murano which has impeccable service, classic design, world-class cuisine and comfortable sophistication. The restaurant offers an extensive American and French wine list. The Tuscan Grille takes the traditional style and artisanal flair of Italy, added with contemporary influences.

At Le Petit Chef™at Qsine the world-renown artists of Skullmapping™, have reached a true pinnacle of their custom 3D table animation art form. This dining experience is beautifully choreographed with an elegant menu created by the chef. Sushi on Five is a modern take on traditional Japanese fare. Take the opportunity to try premium, super-premium, and specialty sakes.

Café al Bacio & Gelateria offers guests a warm atmosphere and is a great place to relax, any time of day. Many guests like to stop by in the evening for one of the specialty dessert cocktails.

The Celebrity Equinox has a great range of bars and lounges. The Passport Bar is a casual bar inspired by the relaxed living space of large, oceangoing yachts. Craft Social Bar offers comfort food and craft beer enthusiasts can try over 40 handcrafted boutique beer selections, creative cocktails and elevated bar snacks. The Martini Bar is inspired by ice and snow, the enchanting frosted bar is the place to be in the heart of the "coolest" setting on the ship. Crush is an intriguing alcove off The Martini Bar. This cool, classy setting featuring an ice-filled table centre where you can enjoy exquisite Caviar and Vodka pairings.

In the World Class Bar experience a “fine drinking” experience, where the ritual of making cocktails is just as exciting as drinking them. Using the freshest ingredients and the finest spirits, the expert mixologists aim to satisfy. The Ensemble Lounge is the ideal setting for an aperitif in an elegant space. Chill out with a flurry of fresh frozen cocktails in Slush, located poolside to help you keep your cool. 

The Sky Observation Lounge is a quiet refuge by day for gazing over the sea with a cocktail at hand. At night, the space comes to life with live music and dancing. The Sunset Bar is a popular that anchors one end of the Lawn Club on the highest deck. Spectacular views and a casual country club atmosphere make for an relaxing experience. Watch the sun set on the water accompanied by pop and folk tunes from a live guitarist. 

Entertainment & Facilities

The Grand Foyer greets with a spectacular onyx staircase, marble floors and the first panoramic ocean-view glass elevators at sea. The grand Equinox Theatre is the premier live performance venue aboard Celebrity Equinox. While accommodating a generous audience, it retains a comfortable, intimate atmosphere, bringing you production shows, beautiful musical arrangements, and side splitting comedy.

For an evening of lively, spontaneous entertainment, the versatile Celebrity Central is the perfect destination. Catch a late night comedy show, live musical performances, or a great movie in a comfortable, casual atmosphere. Dance the night away in the vibrant nightclub, Quasar is a modern nightclub like no other you will experience on the open seas. With a retro touch, it will feel like the perfect spot for adults of all ages. Feeling lucky? Containing the ambience of Monte Carlo and the energy of Las Vegas, Fortunes Casino is a perfect spot to participate in a game of chance.

Two pools along with four raised hot tubs, make up the outside pool deck, along with an interactive water feature consisting of numerous dancing fountains. Forward from the main pool is Celebrity Equinox’s adult-only area. The Solarium housed within its blissfully quiet enclosure has a couple of hot tubs and features a gorgeous pool, sparkling waterfalls and thickly padded lounge chairs.

The Spa offers guests a range of treatments and massages making for extraordinary relaxation, The Spa soothes both body and mind. In the Fitness Centre you can meet with a personal trainer, take a fitness class, try the resistance swimming pool or challenge yourself on the state-of-the-art exercise equipment. Accompanied by the calming strains of new age music, in the Persian Garden enjoy the warmth of a relaxing steam or treat your skin to the solitude found in a private sauna. There is also a jogging track and a sports court.

The Lawn Club is a freshly manicured lawn on the highest deck. Enjoy casual outdoor activities such as bocce or croquet. The Hot Glass Studio is a pretty unique experience to have on a cruise ship. Artisans teach you the art of glass blowing in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Across the way, a large screen is used for movie nights.

Shops on the Boulevard, beautiful walkways lead you from sophisticated boutiques to fine jewellery stores. Window shop, attend a fashion show or select gifts for friends and family. There is also Galleria Boutiques, an array of boutiques on board offers everything you love to shop for on land.

Celebrity iLounge℠ is Celebrity's chic, new approach to the Internet lounge. Here, you'll find state-of-the-art workstations featuring MacBook Pro® laptops and iMac® desktops where you can take a class, check your email, surf the web or print a boarding pass. 

The Card Room is located in the atrium, play a hand or two of gin or another of your favourite card games. The Library allows guests to escape into a good book or browse through some favourite magazines.

For younger guests the XClub is where they can cut loose and kick back the way they want in a hip VIP area geared specifically for teens. From teen-oriented explorations to the dance club and coffee lounge designed with them in mind, X Club is sure to be a hit with all of the teenage guests. Camp at Sea offers a schedule of activities changes on every sailing based on the interests of the junior cruisers.
