The Canadian Grand Prix sells out in weeks rather than months, as is the popularity of the event, due to its guaranteed drama and proximity to Montreal city. Attendance levels are always high with 345,000 packed into the circuit over the weekend to witness Max Verstappen secure a third victory of Canadian Grand Prix victories in a row.

Constructed partly from public roads, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is and has proven down the years to be a fan favourite due to its frantic racing and outstanding viewing options, it’s a race that never falls short on drama. The Wall of Champions, a notoriously treacherous section of the Gilles Villeneuve circuit, in 1999 the race famously saw World Champions’ Damon Hill, Michael Schumacher and Jacques Villeneuve all crash into the wall.

Circuit Gilles Villeneuve has been on the calendar since 1978 and this year’s race saw the Montreal track enter the top five of venues, which have hosted the most Formula 1 events.
