Created by Sir Richard Branson, the Scarlet Lady was the first of the Virgin Voyages ships to be launched in 2020 and offers a modern, luxurious, and innovative experience. The ship is exclusively for adults and offers a more sophisticated and relaxed atmosphere for its guests, catering to those seeking a more refined cruising experience.

The ship features a sleek, modern design with plenty of vibrant, bold colours. It has a contemporary aesthetic that blends luxury with fun, inspired by Virgin's edgy brand.

Food & Drink

Virgin Voyages offers a unique dining experience where there are no traditional buffets or assigned seating. Instead, guests can choose from over 20 dining venues, including some innovative concepts like a Razzle Dazzle, a plant-based restaurant, Gunbae which is a Korean BBQ spot, and an upscale steakhouse and all your meals are included in the cruise price, with no added tipping.

Other highlights include The Test Kitchen, a contemporary dining experience that blends art and food. Extra Virgin which is a fine dining Italian restaurant with a focus on fresh, authentic pasta and other Italian favourites. The Dock House which is located by the pool area, this outdoor venue serves casual yet delicious meals. The Social Club is a lively venue where guests can enjoy a mix of comfort food with a modern twist. Lick Me Till Ice Cream is a playful ice cream spot with unique flavours and toppings.

The Valiant Tavern is a rustic yet stylish space that offers comfort food like fried chicken, burgers, and more whilst Brunch at The Galley offers multiple stations offering breakfast and brunch items. The Wine & Tapas Bar offers a great selection of Spanish-inspired tapas along with a fine range of wines. 

Scarlet Lady offers a variety of bars and lounges, each with a unique atmosphere and specialty drinks, making it an ideal spot for socializing, relaxing, and enjoying creative cocktails. Virgin Voyages designed these spaces to offer guests an exciting and vibrant nightlife experience. 

The Loose Cannon is a nautical-inspired pub with a cosy, laid-back vibe. Sip Lounge is a sophisticated and intimate space where you can enjoy expertly crafted cocktails. The Dock Bar is located at the back of the ship, overlooking the ocean, The Dock Bar offers a breezy, outdoor space to sip cocktails while taking in the views. The Bimini Bon Bimini is inspired by the Caribbean and Miami Beach, The Bimini Bon Bimini is a stylish bar located by the pool area. The Red Bar is an ideal place for pre-dinner drinks or a casual night out. It features a variety of classic and signature cocktails, as well as a lively ambiance. The Social Club double a lounge and bar with an inviting, informal atmosphere. 

Located near the Valiant Tavern, Valiant Bar offers a casual and approachable environment for enjoying a drink while you unwind. The Scarlet Night Lounge is a great place for those who love a relaxed evening with creative cocktails and a calm vibe. The Casino Bar is unsurprisingly located in the ship’s casino area, the Casino Bar serves a range of cocktails and drinks for guests looking to combine gaming and socialising. The Vinyl Lounge is a tribute to retro music and vinyl records, this lounge offers guests a vintage-inspired experience, complete with old-school tunes and for those looking to indulge in something special, The Champagne Bar offers an exclusive experience dedicated to sparkling wines and champagne, offering an elegant space to enjoy a glass or two of bubbly.

Entertainment and Facilities 

The Scarlet Lady offers an array of facilities and entertainment options designed to provide a fun, relaxing, and luxurious experience for adults. Virgin Voyages has reimagined the traditional cruise experience, offering modern amenities and cutting-edge entertainment.

The Red Room is the ship's main theatre and the heart of live entertainment. It offers immersive performances that blend theatre, music, and technology. The venue features shows like "UNTITLED," a high-energy, interactive production that combines aerial performances, acrobatics, and contemporary dance.

The Manor is a glamorous nightclub and one of the largest entertainment venues on the ship. It hosts live DJs, themed parties, and shows, offering a vibrant nightlife experience. The Social Club is a  modern, interactive lounge that doubles as a social and entertainment space. The Social Club offers fun activities such as trivia nights, games, and live music performances. The Vinyl Lounge takes guests on a musical journey with its retro-inspired design and an emphasis on vinyl records and live performances. For those who enjoy a bit of thrill, the Casino on Scarlet Lady features a range of classic gaming options like blackjack, roulette, and poker. Guests can also try their luck at various slot machines. 

The Dock is the outdoor pool deck is a relaxing and vibrant space, with a large pool, hot tubs, and plenty of loungers. It's the perfect place for soaking up the sun, enjoying a cocktail, or attending poolside events and parties. The area also features a large outdoor screen for movies, making it ideal for watching films under the stars.

Wellness and Spa Facilities include the Red Flower Spa offers a comprehensive wellness experience with various treatments, including massages, facials, and body scrubs. There’s also a thermal suite with saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs, perfect for unwinding and relaxing.

The Athletic Club features state-of-the-art fitness equipment, fitness classes, and group activities like yoga, Pilates, and cycling. There's also an outdoor area with a jogging track and a "Boxing Ring" for those looking to enjoy high-energy workouts.

Cruise Overview

You’ll fly from the UK to Lisbon for a two night stay in the 4* Zenit Lisboa Hotel or similar with breakfast included each morning. The hotel is located on a leafy avenue in central Lisbon and offers contemporary accommodation with direct access to the Baixa via Saldana Metro Stop.

Fitted with designer furnishings, rooms at Zenit Lisboa feature free Wi-Fi and a cable TV. There is also a en suite bathrooms with hairdryer.

Enjoy modern international cuisine in a casual setting at the Traste Restaurant. The on-site lobby bar serves renowned Portuguese wines and local spirits until late in the evening and the hotel has a well-equipped gym.

Lisbon

One of the oldest cities in the world, Lisbon is the capital of contrasts. Home to a centuries-old bookstore and a famous custard tart, a walk down the city's winding streets can lead you to great wines, impressive ruins, and striking modern buildings. 

The city is nestled across seven jaw-dropping hills overlooking Rio Tejo, the city boasts ancient ruins, white-domed cathedrals, traditional houses clinging to cobbled alleyways, and breath-taking views. The city has lots of gourmet-food markets, Michelin-starred restaurants, and great fresh seafood.

Stroll the Praça do Comércio which is considered one of the most beautiful square in Europe and along Avenida da Liberdade before heading to the lush Parque Eduardo VII. Visit the elegant districts of Belém and Restelo to visit the Jerónimos Monastery or the Ajuda Palace. See the Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries, a grand sculpture built in honour of the legendary Henry the Navigator.

Porto

A true melting pot of culture, the vibrant city of Porto is a great city to explored. Venture into the many wine cellars that dot the city or take a walk across the Dom Louis Bridge and absorb the sweeping views of Porto. Stroll the colourful streets lined with tiled houses and buildings or head to one of the restaurants on the Cais de Ribeira for some Portuguese tapas.

Stand in line before entering one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. Livraria Lello has been in business in 1906 and is Porto's most popular landmark and it is well worth the wait time. Take a wander around the city admiring the detailed mosaics that line most of the streets.

Wine connoisseurs will love Porto, visit one of the many wine cellars and taste Port, which is produced in the Douro Valley, or sip on a refreshing glass of the locally produced Vinho Verde. Try a  homemade francesinha, sandwich, a traditional Porto sandwich.

Take a walk down Rua de Santa Catarina, a lively street, perfect for window shopping or if you're looking for an interesting souvenir to bring back home, head to the Cedofeita area of the city. You'll find stores like Coracao Alecrim which is one of Porto's prettiest stores selling handmade, sustainable products.

La Coruña

La Coruña is a historic city transformed into a modern cultural mecca with lively districts, quiet enclaves, and an incredible food scene. Unique in its geography, infrastructure, and history, the city is over 2000 years old and tucked away on the tip of the autonomous district of Galicia, on the rugged north-western corner of Spain.

La Coruña is a historic town that has metamorphosed into a pulsing modern metropolis. Home to the oldest lighthouse still in operation and a medieval village of cobbled streets, the city has a blend of Greco-Roman-Moorish buildings and signature enclosed balconies overlooking narrow walkways and boulevards. Visit the incredible Paseo Marítimo, see the famed Tower of Hercules lighthouse and get some amazing, sweeping ocean views.

There is a buzzing commercial centre, and a vibrant nightlife. Explore the local markets, then recharge with a glass of freshly-brewed Estrella Galicia beer and some epic Galician tapas. View the triple-domed town hall and Maria Pita Square and visit the San Agustín food market .
