The Leaning Tower is undoubtedly the main attraction. You can climb the tower and enjoy a panoramic view of Pisa and the surrounding area.

Piazza dei Miracoli is the area surrounding the Leaning Tower and includes Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta which is a  beautiful example of Romanesque architecture. Baptistery of St. John which is known for its impressive acoustics, this is the largest baptistery in Italy. Campo Santo is a monumental cemetery with beautiful frescoes. Museo dell'Opera del Duomo is home to a collection of art and sculptures from the cathedral and its surroundings, offering insight into the history of Pisa’s most famous landmarks.

Wander through the charming medieval streets, particularly around Corso Italia, which is filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants. Don’t miss Piazza dei Cavalieri, where you can see the beautiful Palazzo della Carovana. The Ponte di Mezzo is a central bridge over the Arno River. You can take a stroll along the riverbanks, especially during sunset when the view is spectacular. After a day of sightseeing, enjoy a drink at one of Pisa’s many cosy bars or cafes. The area around Piazza Garibaldi is lively with various pubs and wine bars.

You will spend 2 nights in the elegant 4* Hotel Bologna is set in the historic centre of Pisa, 5 minutes' walk from the train station. Then jump on the train for the short journey to Florence, the capital of Italy’s Tuscany region. This city is a city brimming with history, art, and culture. Known as the birthplace of the Renaissance, it boasts some of the world’s most renowned museums, churches, and architectural wonders. 

The Duomo is Florence's iconic cathedral with its stunning dome designed by Brunelleschi. The cathedral's exterior is covered with intricate marble designs, and the view from the top of the dome is one of the best in the city.

Uffizi Gallery is one of the most famous art museums in the world, home to masterpieces by artists like Botticelli, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo da Vinci. Accademia Gallery is home to Michelangelo’s famous David, a symbol of the Renaissance. The gallery also holds a range of other sculptures and works of art from the period.

Ponte Vecchio is a historic bridge that spans the Arno River, lined with charming jewellery shops. It's one of the most photographed spots in Florence. The Pitti Palace, once home to the powerful Medici family, contains several museums. Behind it is the Boboli Garden, a vast park with sculptures, fountains, and panoramic views of the city. Piazzale Michelangelo is a square located on a hill offering one of the best panoramic views of Florence, especially at sunset. There’s also a replica of Michelangelo’s David here.

You will spend 2 nights in the 4* Hilton Garden Inn Florence Novoli which stands in a residential and commercial area next to San Donato Park, just a 15-minute bus ride from the city centre. It features a free gym and rooms with free wired internet.
