The Spanish Steps connect the Piazza di Spagna with the Trinità dei Monti church. The area is also home to high-end shopping streets and beautiful Baroque architecture.
The Borghese Gallery is home to an impressive collection of Renaissance and Baroque art, including works by Caravaggio and Bernini. Trastevere is a charming neighbourhood on the west bank of the Tiber River which is full of narrow cobbled streets, medieval churches, and lively piazzas.
You’ll then take the Inter City train from Rome to Venice and spend a further 2 nights in the Mestre area of the city which has a great choice of bars and restaurant but more importantly is just a short 10 minute train ride to Venice Island and the transport hub on the Grand Canal.
