Located on Bentota peninsula Centara Ceysands Resort & Spa Sri Lanka enjoys a superb location with the Bentota River on one side and the Indian Ocean on the other, ensuring dreamy views from most areas of the resort, and offering a natural environment along with a wide range of facilities and activities. Standing on the beach front, the resort is accessed by a short boat ride across the lagoon from a departure point a few minutes to Aluthgama station, and river and ocean boat trips are a major attraction.

Café Bem is the resort all-day dining restaurant offering an eclectic mix of Sri Lankan, Asian and International cuisines reflected on a la carte menu, buffets and at live cooking stations.

Decorated in a modern rustic fashion, this casual restaurant specialises in mouth-watering seafood prepared in any conceivable ways and with a zest of Asian flavours. 360 Restaurant enjoys a fine location within the resort with both river and ocean view.

Dine on home-style Thai cuisine in a relaxing setting at Suan Bua Restaurant, a stone’s throw away from Ceylon Club and decorated with authentic artefacts and silverware. Suan Bua’s menu highlights Thai culinary traditions and features northern-Thai favourites such as Som Tum Thai (sweet and spicy green mango salad with dried shrimps and peanuts), Nam Tok Nua (Sirloin steak seasoned with tamarind sauce, roasted rice powder, and hers) and Laab Gai (spicy minced chicken salad with roasted rice powder, mint and parsley), along with rich, smooth curries and locally sourced seafood prepared Thai-style with spicy dips or noodles.

Indulge in one of Sri Lanka’s great traditions with a cup of fine tea at Ceylon Club. Ceylon Club is one of the highlights of the resort; refreshments, snacks and fabulous afternoon teas are offered to those wishing to relax and immerse themselves in an ambience that reflects a more leisurely era and to those lounging poolside.

The swim-up pool bar serves thirst-quenching drinks and cocktails to guests who do not wish to tear themselves away from the sublime ocean facing swimming pool.

  • With its river and ocean setting, and with direct access to the beach, the resort has an abundance of natural attractions. The river is a broad and tranquil one, with mangroves and palm trees on the bank, while the beach is quiet, with golden sands and a glorious blue ocean vista.
